All I can say is anybody who has read DNA's books and doesn't even suspect that he is either an atheistic or an agnostic just hasn't been paying attention.

But in answer to the above post, I'd agree that the U.S. is a more overtly religious nation (in both positive and negative ways) than many others, although not all, of course. For one thing, it tends to breed schisms and denominations. That has been a hallmark of U.S. religions since before there was a USA.
