Yes, my life has taught me that there is a God. Not just what other people have told me, not just what I've read, but what I have experienced and known and felt in my life. I could quote some brilliant writers on the subject -- yes, even as brilliant as Douglas Adams -- but I wouldn't want to parrot other people to support my own ideas. I'm supposed to think for myself, right?

By the way, if you think religion is "the easy answer," that just goes to show that either you don't know much about religion, or else you have an entirely different definition of "easy" than I do.
