Good choices for the movie. Bren Fraser was in my mind too, for Zaphod. If you're wondering how he says "Hey yeah", go see the Mummy. He's got a lot of those kind of lines in there.
Somebody said Mike Myers should play Ford. I have to admit that I think he'd be better than Jim Carrey, who is just too weird. Just as long as you don't dress poor Mike up with those weird teeth again....ugh...
Matthew "The Fish" Broderick, is absolutely perfecto. Just so long as he has the accent...
