Hey! What's wrong with Cameron Diaz? Taken, she has been in some big bad movies that seem to flaunt her beauty. But for those of you who don't watch just the movies that Hollywood tells us to, check her out. I have to admit that I became impressed with her acting skill in My Best Friends Wedding. Which is weird because she plays an airhead, for the most part. There was something in the way she played the role that really impressed me, and it wasn't her physical appearance either (I'm rather biased toward blondes, maybe being one myself. I prefer brunettes). But she has done great work and been in some other great movies as well. Watch her in Being John Malkovich, for example. It is far from a glamour role. She is wonderful in it, and is allowed to show some acting muscle. See her in the Last Supper. It is not the best movie, but she does a good job, and it too is a not a glamour role. Plus, she often picks good roles, such as being a small part in Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas. There is definitely intelligence behind her eyes, and she's not just a pretty face. In fact, I personally don't find her all that attractive, except that she does have an amazing smile. I would say if we had to have someone in Hollywood play Trillian, and not an outsider, I feel like she would be one of the more adaptable ones to play the part. I'd be happy with her being cast as Trillian.
