Which means (if you are not familiar with the British education system) means about age 15. I then did arts subjects for 'A' level, which I think roughly equates to high school. At university I did English literature. However, I have read a huge amount of science - it's most of what I read and think about! A few years ago I sat and had tea in a hotel in New York with James Gleick (author of CHAOS) and we had a great discussiong and argument about various matters arising from his book, which went on for a couple of hours or so. At last we both sat back, exhausted and admitted that we were both English majors... <Prev
