Mr. Adams, a vote for Nader is not necessarily a vote for Bush. I live in the state of Texas, which as you know is Gov. Bush's home state. It's a foregone conclusion that Bush will win Texas, no matter what, so voting for Nader won't make me feel too terrible.

Further, the US federal government will provide certain kinds of special assistance to parties who can achieve enough prominence to win at least a small percentage of the vote. Nader and the Green Party need more votes to achieve this status, thus making them eligible for these campaign funds and better able to compete with the two major parties.

All the best. I'm looking forward to the H2G2 movie. I promise to buy all the action figures.
