THAT'S the name of the Iain Banks novel (whose name I couldn't recall in my previous post). The novel's title is a glimpse of the spelling used in the chapters which are told by character Bascule in the first person. Those chapters are quite difficult to read, but I have to say that the effect is quite interesting, you definitely get a different "feel" for the character.
