Subject: How does your mind work? ( 1 of 2 ) Posted by Jon Dear Mr. Adams, I have just finished reading the entire series of your ingenious HHGTTG books, which gave me hours of immense enjoyment. One thing, though, has been puzzling me, and despite lengthy discussions with friends who have also studied your work, we have been unable to find an answer to this seemingly innocent question. It is nothing to do with the significance of 42, or anything like that. Merely, when you set out to write the books did you know all along where you were going with the plot, or did you just set out writing randomly for half of it, and then spend the remaining half trying to tie everything together? I would appreciate it if you could shed any light on this possibly irrelevant, but maybe quite interesting, question. Thanks, Jon. Next>
