Did you happen to read Michael Crichton in the Independent:

In movies "....why.. unnecessary added plot (sex, violence, explosions)? Well, because it is a movie. Movies tell larger than life exaggerated stories. Most feature sex and violence and explosions wherever possible."

Are you finding opportunities for different "visualisation" and possibilities for fresh ideas in the new medium more often than requests for another bang to please the crowd?
