Mr Adams,

I recently heard an interview you did on ABC Classic FM with Margaret Throsby in May, when you were in Australia. One of your musical choices was Bach's Schubler Chorale No 5 "Ach bleib bei uns, Herr Jesu Christ". You mentioned that you played this constantly while writing one of your books. My question. Was the book Dirk Gently, and did you have this music in mind when Richard hears the music on the space ship?
Also, if it makes you feel any better, I too have walked straight into a telephone-type pole. :)
