I can think of a few that would do a fine job of it
1. Eric Serra- his score for the 5th element was beautiful.... OR
2. Danny Elfman- need I say more?
but my choice (for reasons of shameless self promotion...and, well, because we could pull it off with some severely freaky improv style, not to mention much cheaper) would have to be The Date Rapists. C'mon, I know you're intrigued...Hook us up!!
