Subject: Question for Douglas ( 1 of 5 )
Posted by Bobby Jack

Douglas, I recently came across two quotes which I believe have some significance to your work (don't worry - neither of them relate to the number 42). I know you'll probably say it's just coincidence or sub-conscious referencing but I'm curious all the same. They are:

"Computers are useless. They can only give you answers." Pablo Picaso

- the suspected reference should be obvious to anyone reading this thread.

"The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise." F. Scott Fitzgerald

- I have a suspicion that this might have something to do with the 'tea/no tea' idea expressed in the text adventure.

Any comments?
