Interestingly (he says in his best Peter Cook talking about insects and whales voice), George Layton is listed as one of the cast members and he also (I discovered by clicking on his link appeared) in an episode of Dr. Who with the word "Pirate" in the title. Although it was "The Space Pirates" so this turns out to be even less interesting than you'd previously expected.
