( 1 of 1 ) Posted by deber Once upon a time, I bought my first copy of "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" (I've since had to buy another, as I read the first copy so many times that the pages started falling out...) I can't think of anything funnier I've ever read, with the exception of the rest of the books in the series. I've read everything of Mr. Adams that I could get my hands on after that, and have never been disappointed. He changed my views on Life, the Universe and Everything and inspired in me the urge to write, where it had never existed before. The universe is a more mundane place with his passing, so let us all take a moment to raise our Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters in a toast to one of the most warped, inspired and truly funny men who have ever lived. May you finally find the Ultimate Question. |
