Subject: I'm glad I met you ( 1 of 1 ) Posted by Evan Blonder You spoke at the University of Maryland sometime in 1984 or 1985 in a packed, and I mean packed, lecture hall to read us a bit of "So Long and Thanks for the Fishes" before it was published. I remember that you were a giant of a man, and in a black leather jacket, you even looked abit confrontational. After it was over, I went down to say thanks, and you were kind and signed my Trilogy book. I still have the book in the den. Thank you for your sense of humor, and the way with prose. Evan |
