That's right, I think, except for the US part. As Gretchen said, we use "learned" for everything, and rarely hear "learnt." In fact the only "-t" instead of "-ed" past tense that's common is "dreamt," and I've often wondered why that is.

Is there something wrong with putting a T on the end of words?
