Yes, I was there. And though I didn't see the TV broadcast or - of course - the webcast, lots of people have said that the back of my head was almost as prominently featured Sir Paul himself. I was certainly aware of a camera swinging around just behind me.

The event was fabulous, extraordinary and emotional. I remember at one point thinking -- my God I am actually watching Paul McCartney's actual fingers actually playing the actual bass right in front of my eyes.

Very naughtily I took a couple of pix. Not very good, of course, because of the lighting conditions, but here they are - one of the band, one of David Gilmour and one of Sir Paul.
