My family came over to the States from Cork in about 1860 or so. It was a couple brothers who made the journey. One brother settled in Kansas, and took up work in law enforcement. He was a deputy to Wyatt Earp. Unfortunately, he was shot in a bar-room brawl soon after he started. The story goes that Wyatt Earp and another deputy carried him home, using the bar-room door as a stretcher. Unfortunately, he didn't make it, which I guess is why I'm related to the other brother... <Prev Next>
