Subject: Question about Simon Jones ( 1 of 5 ) Posted by Chris Casino I noticed in the original radio scripts book, Mr. Adams, that you made comments about Simon Jones' acting style, "WE'LL NEED PANTING BY ARTHUR, WHO IS PLAYED BY A REMARKABLY TALENTED AND ABLE ACTOR, WE'LL NEED SOME HIGHLY TALENTED PANTING FROM SIMON, etc." Do you really think he's that bad an actor, or were you just messing with him? I mean, you said yourself that when you met him at Footlights, he was really the only one who tried to help you and be nice to you. I always thought he was perfect as Arthur Dent (it's too bad Ivan Reitman screwed up the opportunity to make the movie back in '82, he could have played Arthur again like he was supposed to, because he was still young enough), and I've seen him in other stuff too, and my personal feeling is that he's a damn good actor.
