One of the fascinating things about the web is the way in which it renders the process of Chinese Whispers visible.

For instance, how many stages did it take to transmute my actual statement "I very much respect a vote for Nader, I'm just apalled at the prospect of Bush" into my alleged statement that Nader is "basically just running for his own ego."

Just one, as far as I can see.
