There used to be something about why the mac version appeared later on the tdv or starship site, I don't remember where. What it boiled down to was: windoze profits were necessary for the investors (sounds reasonable doesn't it, they took a huge gamble), and to finance the development of the mac version (whether you like it or not, mac marketshare might not be big enough for the game to reach the break even point). It also talked about development problems on the Mac.
