Subject: Graham Chapman ( 1 of 12 )
Posted by James E.

It was said in the book "Graham Crackers", a compilation by Jim Yoakum of the late great Graham Chapman (the silly old dead queen) that he, Graham, gave you the idea for the answer to the meaning of life to be "42".

It's a footnote to an anticdote that begins "When I was 42". The footnote reads (to the best of my recollection) that "Douglas Adams once asked Graham 'what is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything?', and Graham promptly replied '42'. Douglas has since denied this conversation taking place".

Well, Douglas? Is it true? Did Graham Chapman, the silliest member of Monty Python REALLY give you the inspiration for the answer to the meaning of life, or has the dead loon fibbed to us all?

Thanks,
