It's time all the old state structures were replaced, IMO. The monarchy is an expensive empty figurehead and the British democracy, once a 4/5 year periodic attractor, appears to have converged on a point.

Smash the lot, push the system towards chaos, devolve as low and flat as we can and then sit back as new structures crystalise. It would help, I suppose, if we knew what kind of government we'd like so we could apply some selection pressure, but that would probably be asking too much :-)

Anarchy, holism, evolution! It's the future, you know. Maybe.
