But of course, there's always going to be new folks coming along, who might not have read the 'warnings' and such. I myself remember the first time I figured out (all by myself!) that 54 (six times nine) was '42' in base thirteen, and I couldn't wait to tell all of my HHGTTG friends! And, of course, I knew without a doubt that DNA must have intended this all along, and I was crushed to later learn it was just another coincidence... but again I'm getting off track. In retrospect, I think it was probably a bit harsh of Kate to tell the new guy "shut up", unless she recognized the name & he's not a 'new guy' after all. Oh, and that reminds me: there's also the reference in the description of the Half Witted Crap forum about "did you know that there are 42 fruit gums in a package?" or something like that. This would be yet another "hint" that DNA considers further questions on this topic to be less than full-witted. - Mike <Prev Next>
