In case you have been disappointed, I can ease it:

I am really, really, jealous that you got to go and see Douglas Adams, and for free.

I fear the chance of his coming to New Zealand again are pretty remote (he was here looking at rare Kakapo for the "Last Chance to See" book). I didn't meet him as he was on an special island.

If DNA chances to read this, you are welcome back to check on our Kakapo.

They are still hear, struggling along. Things are going OK, but as you know when the females of a species only feels like breeding once ever few years, the chances of a population explosion aren't that flash. Last I heard the numbers were still pretty static.
