I think it's a very possible dream. It's also worth remembering that the more powerful media become, the less obstacles they put in the way of creative people, and creativity is usually most stimulated by obstacles and problems. I think I said in a keynote at Siggraph once that we need to make the most of our limitations while we've still got them.
