I road only the two messages from the person who started the thread and the one from DNA himself. As it is for me, there are two sides of the story:
Of course, competetion pushes people to innovate and improve their product (Microsoft has quite good marketing skills and has not much to fear though yet, because of those so-called clever guys of lunix don't come up with a reasonable interface)

On the other hand, companies come all up with different hardware and software. Nothing supports nothing anym.. ok it does, but not in the way it should. Simply because there are too many standards. Not very enlighting..and very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
