I have to live with both machines, and though work involves using Windows95 I would never pay for a Wintel machine. When it is my own time I am using, I get things done quicker with a desktop I can understand. I have had two Macs over the past seven years, a LCIII with which I learnt to run a music studio and eventually surf the web, and a Creative Studio 6500 which (though two years old) is good enough to run digital audio and video, and which came with a package of software that puts the iMac to shame.
