Paul McCartney can't read music. Neither can B.B. King. On the other hand my Aunt can read music and recite music theory all day but she has never written a song.

My point is you don't really have to be a grammer god to write a novel. Thats why we have the people called editors. You know, the people who know all the rules but have no imagination.
