Well, I must say that I wholehartedly agree with you Mr. Adams. In any institution of higher learning (Cambridge, Caltech, MIT, etc.) where science and engineering courses are taught, you will find a majority (or at least a plurality) of non-believers or "freethinkers", whether they be agnostic or atheist. A recent survey by Nature magazine showed that the belief rate amongst members of the National Academy of Sciences was below 20% on average.

People who cling to their prehistoric beliefs tend to be lacking in a scientific, rational education. For why else would one ignore what they see before them in favor of what they read in 2,000 year old scripture?
