As an outsider to all the political debates and pratical implications of the US, one can't help thinking: "What is actually going to change from one President to another?"

Two major parties spending vast amount of money to get their candidate elected. (The smaller candidates who may be healthier for USA have little chance to get through.)

But from where does the money come? What promises are given in exchange for that money?

We are dealing with people who try every trick in the book to get elected and get into the seat of power, so are they really suited for the job of governing the people? And are they actually acting on their own behalf or indeed on behalf of the people?
