"Who is Ralph Nader ?"

He's a communist running for the presidency of the United States. He's widly known as a consumer advocate in the sates, and is using his star power to elevate the american Green Party from obscurity.

Many people who hadn't realized that there were minor parties in the United States think that the Green Party will be a viable third choice.

Personally, I think the libertarian party and the reform party pretty much had the alternatives covered. The repblicans offer a conservative big government approach, the democrats pretty much have the socialst angle covered. If you want an authoritarian government, you vote for the reform party and Buchanan. If you love freedom you vote for the Libertarians.

I don't really see the need for the Green Party. Still, I encorage people to vote for their beliefs. Third parties do change things by shaping the debate between the major parties.
